Buddy the Cat Pet Portrait

Here I have combined my passion for painting, with my love of animals. Pastels or Watercolor are my mediums of choice. Their brilliance of pigment and the softness of color are perfect for capturing the drama of lights and darks. This particular pet portrait was done for a friend of mine for a birthday gift for her son. I had such fun trying to capture his expression.

Chris Bajon Jones of Denham Springs is the guest artist for July and August at the Livingston Parish Library Main Branch, 20390 Iowa Street, Livingston, LA 70754. She is a long time member of the Denham Springs Fine Art Association.
