This is one of my latest entries into to the Denham Springs Fine Art Association Spring Art Show. I won first place for works under glass and was thrilled. This is done from a photograph sent to me by Uncle Fred. It is one of the beautiful Charolais bulls at his ranch in Opelousas. It was so much fun to paint and what a thrill when I won First Place. The judge made comments such as "She nailed this one". Below are a few photos from the Art Show Reception held May 5th.

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend this wonderful workshop this week at Burden's Windrush Gardens. Alan Flattmann gave a wonderful demo of plein air painting at the old Windrush Gardens.He chose the Garden House as his subject with the beautiful dappled lighting. It was extremely informative and I had such a wonderful time learning from this Master Pastelist.Please enjoy!

Here are the painting that I have been working on lately. I have always love the beauty of the Wood Duck so started painting a series.This has been a lot of fun and quite challenging at times. Enjoy!
